Admission Requirements

A transfer student is any student who has attended a two or four-year school and applies for admission to Morgan State University.

Requirements for admission vary, depending on transferable credits completed and your academic record from all institutions attended.

Please review the following admission requirements carefully before submitting your application:

  • 0-11 *transferable credits with a G.P.A. of 2.0 or higher and meet the regular freshmen requirements;
  • 12-23 *transferable credits with a G.P.A. of 2.0 or higher as well as a G.P.A. of 2.0 or higher from high school;
  • 24 or more *transferable credits with a G.P.A. of 2.0 or higher.

If you attended or are currently attending a non-U.S. college, you must have your transcript(s) evaluated by one of the following international credential evaluation companies: WES, AACRAO, ECE or NACES. Please visit our international applicants page for additional information.

*Please note: developmental and/or remedial classes are not transferable. Official high school transcripts are required only for students who are transferring with less than twenty four (24) transferable credits. Students are expected to have a cumulative average of 2.0 from all colleges attended and to be "in good standing" at the last institution attended.
