AP, IB and CLEP
AP, IB, Cambridge, CLEP, and other forms of Prior Learning Credit
The Transfer Evaluation and Articulation Team is responsible for evaluating credit from prior learning, including Advanced Placement (AP), Cambridge International Exam (A/AS Level), College Level Examination Program (CLEP), International Baccalaureate (IB), and scores for all Morgan State University students.
If you have taken any other form of non-traditional credit, please contact us if you have questions regarding the acceptability of the credit.
AP, IB, Cambridge, and CLEP
Morgan State University accepts AP, IB, Cambridge, and CLEP scores and will award credits based on the minimum required scores for each test.
If you want your AP, IB, Cambridge, and CLEP test scores considered for credit toward your degree, submit your official score reports to the Office of the Registrar. Credit can not be awarded from an official high school transcript. Once received, your official score report will be evaluated, and credit will be awarded based on the following guidelines:
- Advanced Placement (AP) Scores
- Cambridge International Exam (A/AS Level)
- College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
- International Baccalaureate Program (IB)
Official Scores for each test may be requested from:

- American Council On Education’s College Credit Recommendation Service (Ace Credit®)
- Cambridge International Exam
- College Level Exam Program (CLEP) (Morgan State University School Code: 5416
- DSST (Formerly Known As Dantes)
- Excelsior College
- General Education Development (GED)
- International Baccalaureate (IB)
- Saylor Academy
- Straighterline
