The Impact of Climate Change and Urbanization on Non-Motorized Transportation Facilities and Low-income Neighborhoods—Year 2
Project Abstract
This project aims to assess the vulnerability of non-motorized transportation infrastructure to climate change and urbanization, particularly in low-income areas. Focusing on flooding and sea-level rise, the study will estimate the inundation impact on bike paths and pedestrian facilities, examining effects on accessibility to essential services. Results are expected to guide proactive adaptation measures, ensuring equitable access to non-motorized transportation for underserved communities facing climate risks.
