This project explores sustainable planning and asset management practices for transportation systems in small urban and rural communities. Focusing on economic sustainability and equity, the study will assess the integration of asset management with transportation planning, prioritizing low-carbon asphalt pavements and resource allocation. Anticipated outcomes include strategies for equitable funding distribution and environmental sustainability through enhanced asset management practices, tailored to the unique challenges of rural and small urban regions.
