Community Outreach

The SMARTER Center intends to diversify and increase the number of professionals in the workforce through a robust training program combining rigorous classwork and hands-on experience. This will be accomplished by instructing young professionals at the university level, training professionals currently employed in the transportation industry, and launching initiatives to attract new entrants to the transportation field.

Degree-granting programs at SMARTER universities will be expanded to support additional in-person and online classes. SMARTER will also expand and promote a wide array of work and study opportunities for aspiring transportation professionals such as internships, fellowships, scholarships, training programs, and associations.
