Center for Academic Success and Achievement (CASA) Tutoring Resource Center The Veterans Engagement Services (VES) team conducts mid-term assessments for student veterans using VA/DoD Educational Funding to evaluate academic progress. These assessments review course load, midterm grades, and GPA. Students needing support are referred to the CASA - Tutoring Resource Center to help them stay on track. Tutoring sessions are documented, with records submitted to the Department of Veterans Affairs to ensure compliance with Satisfactory Academic Progress standards. Military Appreciation Day The Veterans Engagement Services team partners annually with MSU Athletics and the ROTC Bear Battalion to honor veterans across Maryland, with a special focus on Morgan student veterans and their families. Held around Veterans Day, this celebration welcomes all and features distinguished veteran contributors, who are honored with Morgan memorabilia. Events take place each Fall and Spring semester. Veterans & Community Hiring & Resource Fairs Open to all job seekers (registration encouraged but not required). In partnership with the Maryland Department of Labor, the Veterans Engagement Services team hosts the Veterans & Community Hiring Fair each Spring and the Veterans & Community Resource Fair each Fall. These events support Active Duty Servicemembers, Reservists, Retired Veterans, spouses, dependents, and community members across Maryland and the DMV facing employment and resource challenges. Pre-Registration Check-In The Veterans Engagement Services team hosts this event bi-annually in March and October to assist all military-affiliated students in preparation for Priority Registration participation. Light refreshments and giveaways are provided. Registration QR codes are provided in advance of the event. Registration to attend the event is required.
