Campus Life

1.) Does Morgan State have satellite campuses?

In the Fall of 2018, Morgan State University partnered with Laurel College Center (LCC). Students can complete their Associate's Degrees at Laurel College Center, Howard Community College, or Prince George's Community College and further their education with a BS in Psychology & Engineering. Other course offerings are available and Morgan has partnered with several other schools around the state of Maryland using articulation agreements.

2.) Are there any services available for veteran students who have disabilities?

Yes, Morgan State University has a Disability Support Services department that complies with the Americans Disability Act of 1990.  For more detailed information about their services (click here).

3.) Are there any housing complexes specifically designated for student veterans?

No. There are no housing complexes specifically designated for veteran students. However, upon application for housing students can on a case-by-case basis request to be housed in specific locations. If they have a particular preference or circumstance that warrants alternative housing environments this information should be identified on the application for consideration.

4.) What services, clubs, or groups are available on Morgan's campus to aid the veteran, spouse, or dependent students?

Counseling Center
The Counseling Center provides a range of psychological and counseling services to meet the mental health and development needs of Morgan students.

Career Development
The Center for Career Development provides assistance to students and alumni in the career decision-making process through career assessments, counseling, and experiential learning opportunities.

Veteran Student Association
The Veteran Student Association serves as the voice of all student veterans on-campus while creating a cohesive identity for veteran students and promoting a positive social environment.

Office of Student Activities
Student activities are dedicated to providing quality activities and programs in a learning environment that promotes academic and personal excellence in students.

Veterans Advisory Committee
The Veterans Advisory Committee (VAC) is comprised of members of various MSU departments who are committed to the acclimation and matriculation of the student veteran.

Veteran Focus Groups
The Veterans Focus Group provides veteran students with the opportunity to share their experiences, opinions, or new ideas on what the university could implement in order to make their matriculation at Morgan State, a better academic environment.

Veteran Center
The Veteran Center provides veteran students with a number of services which include counseling, PTSD information, employment opportunities, and/or a quiet place to do homework and relax.

5.) Are there work-study programs for veterans?

Yes. The Department of Veterans Affairs sponsors a VA Work-Study program to benefit recipients who meet all of the eligibility requirements stipulated by the program.
