Department of Teacher Education & Professional Development
Administration and Supervision
Overview of the Program
The Administration and Supervision Master of Science Degree and the Administration and Supervision Certificate are programs designed to prepare and certify talented teacher leaders to assume a leadership role at the school level (elementary school, middle school, or high school) or central office postions. Coursework is delivered to a cohort of candidates by Morgan State University faculty and experts personnel from surrounding school systems. We strive to prepare educators to become competent and caring equity-centered leaders to improve academic achievement for all students in our urban schools, and work with our local school systems to strengthen and increase the principal pipeline.
We want our equity-centered graduates to reflect our five pillars: Student-Centered Leaders, Systems Thinkers and Change Agents, Shared Liberators, Service-Oriented Leaders, and Reflective Practitioners.
