From March 18-22, 2019, TEPD facilitated a study abroad and service-learning activity with 3 faculty/staff and 16 current Morgan State students. This week-long cultural exchange and service-learning project provided Morgan State University students with interactive engagement through intimate exchanges with Cuban scholars, activists, students, and artists. More specifically, Morgan students studied and engaged with the National Literacy Campaign in Cuba, participated in cross cultural exchanges with Afro-Cuban activities and artists and facilitated a service-learning project with elementary and middle school aged children in Havana, Cuba.
