Official Guidelines Of Mister And Miss Morgan State University & The Royal Court

Mister and Miss Morgan State University, alongside the class kings and queens, are entrusted with upholding integrity in scholarship, leadership, and character, serving as representatives of the University's diverse population. They are expected to fulfill their roles with dedication and sincerity, officially representing their positions. 

  1. They are also tasked with representing the University at a variety of events, including, but not limited to:
  • Athletic Events
  • Parades
  • Recruitment Activities
  • Campus-wide Assemblies
  • Approved Off-campus Activity
  • Conferences
  • Homecoming Activities
  • Freshman Orientation Activities
  • Approved Pageants
  • Community Service
  1. They must exemplify the highest traits of character and good conduct. Ill-behavior, disrespect, and vulgarity will not be tolerated.
  2. They must work unselfishly and cooperatively with their Advisor(s), the Student Government Association, and the Royal Court.
  3. If, for any reason, Mister or Miss Morgan State University are unable to represent the student body at any function, it is their responsibility to inform their advisor, in advance, so that arrangements for official representation by a member of the Royal Court can be made.
  4. Mister and Miss Morgan State University will be provided with a budget from the Student Government Association; however, they are still responsible for sharing some financial obligation that this title incurs. Members of the Royal Court are also responsible for incurring some of the financial obligations that this title demands. Some personal expenses for a member of the Royal Court may include but are not limited to:
    1. Attire for public appearance
    2. Accessories for personal care
    3. Jewelry, Shoes, Hosiery
    4. Hair/nails
  5. During public appearances, Mister and Miss Morgan State University and the Royal Court are required to uphold the standards of their positions. They must choose attire that demonstrates professionalism and sound judgment.
