Research Compliance

Research Compliance provides oversight and serves as a resource for policy development, regulatory analysis and interpretation, training, and education to raise awareness of procedures and guidelines designed to support the responsible and ethical conduct of research at the University. The mission is to ensure that Morgan faculty, students and staff are in compliance with the complex web of regulatory requirements that govern research. Major areas include: human subjects, responsible conduct of research (RCR), research misconduct, export control, animal subjects, and financial conflicts of interest (FCOI).

Please note the following requirement and suggestion:

The online CITI Training Human Subjects Research (HSR) course is required training for all researchers involved in human subjects research. Researchers may select the HSR course most appropriate for their research area or "Learner Group" (e.g., Biomedical, Social Behavioral Education (SBE), etc.).

All researchers are also strongly encouraged to complete the following CITI Training Courses:

  • Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR): to promote research ethics and avoid Research Misconduct (fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism).
  • Conflict of Interest (COI): to promote timely disclosure of financial and other conflicts of interest.

See links below for further Research Compliance information and policies.
