Biography:
Ina Sthapit is preservation architect and enthusiast. Ina did her undergraduate studies in architecture from Nepal. She has a working experience of two years in the professional field in architecture in Nepal. She moved to Florida in 2018 for her graduate studies in Historic Preservation from University of Florida. Ina worked with the Envision Heritage, an initiative of Historic Preservation program. She has been involved in the post – processing of the point cloud data, rendering the images, and exporting them into the workable format. Ina also worked as an ICOMOS 2019 IEP intern in National Center for Preservation Training & Technology (NCPTT) in Louisiana where she honed her laser scanning skills. She was mostly involved in the documentation of slave tenant farmer cabins around the region. She later worked with NCPTT for a year in the technical services team as a Research Associate. She is currently enrolled in PhD program in architecture, urbanism & built environment in Morgan State University. Her research interests lies in Laser Scanning and BIM technology.
