CARE Team

Mission and Purpose

The Care Support and Intervention Team (CARE) is committed to providing a learning environment that is conducive to students developing to their fullest potential. The CARE Team strives to help students succeed by supporting their personal growth and well being, and academic achievement. Our purpose is to provide support, guidance, resources, and referrals related to academic performance, mental and physical health, personal and family emergencies, homelessness, food insecurity or other concerns, for the benefit of the whole student. Through this team, the University provides a caring, private program of identification, intervention and response in order to provide students with the greatest chance for success, and the University community with the greatest level of confidentiality. 

How To Make A CARE Team Referral

Any member of the Morgan State University community who has a concern for the well-being or safety of a student of the University who has reason to believe that a student may pose a direct threat to himself/herself or to the community, may refer the student to the Care Support and Intervention Team.

Student of Concern Report Form

The Student of Concern Report form is not for Emergency Services or 911. All urgent situations should be directed to the Morgan State University Police Department (MSUPD) at 911 or 443-885-3100.

Confidentiality: The Care Support Team will take reasonable steps to maintain the privacy of those who complete a Student of Concern Report. 

Please note: All Student of Concern Report forms are routed through the CARE Team. If you have any questions regarding the form or have additional updates or concerns, please call 410-885-3527 during regular business hours.

*This report will be reviewed by a Care Support Team member during MSU business hours, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.*
