Accounting Club / NABA Chapter
A nationwide professional association with the primary purpose of developing, encouraging and serving as a resource for greater participation by African-Americans and other minorities in the accounting and finance professions. The organization seeks to address the professional needs of its members and to build leaders that shape the future of the accounting and finance professions. Since 1969, the National Association of Black Accountants, Inc. has been the leader in expanding the influence of minority professionals in the fields of accounting and finance.
Beta Alpha Psi
A national scholastic and professional fraternity for financial information professionals. The primary objective of the fraternity is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field. This includes promoting the study and practice of accounting, finance and information systems; providing opportunities for self-development and association among members and practicing professionals, and encouraging a sense of ethical, social, and public responsibility.
Finance Club
The overall purpose of the MSU Finance Club is to inform its members of career opportunities in the financial services industry, while networking and amplifying the knowledge and understanding of investment strategies. The club has a mission statement for each semester.
VITA Program
Morgan State University is serving as a VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) site where taxpayers who earn less than $55,0000 a year can get their taxes done for free by IRS Volunteers.
