United Healthcare Insurance FAQs

NOTE: The Student Health Insurance charge cannot be added to Graduate or Part-Time Undergraduate students account with the Bursar Office. Students who wish to enroll in the SHIP must purchase coverage directly utilizing the Gallagher Student Health Portal.

Once you log into your United Healthcare account, please review and the following sections:

• Action Center (IMPORTANT: Please review the Action Center to ensure the patient is completing all required tasks)
• ID Card (utilize this widget to view your United Healthcare Insurance Card)
• Coverage Information (utilize this widget to view your coverage details)
• PRA- Appoint Personal Representative (utilize this widget to add one person on your United Healthcare account that can speak on your behalf regarding your account (i.e. parent, guardian, family member). Please be reminded, United Healthcare will only communicate with the patient. The insurance company will not communicate with anyone else outside of the individual listed in the PRA section.
• My Claims/Balances (this widget lists the patients pending claims, completed claims, and deductible and out of pocket balances on the account)
