Message to Graduating Seniors from the Dean
Dear Students,
On behalf of the faculty and staff of the School of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences (SCMNS) at Morgan State University (MSU), I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to our outstanding SCMNS class of Spring 2024!!
I am very delighted that you are among the elite group of SCMNS scholars who are receiving their master’s and doctoral degrees on Thursday - May 16, 2024, or their bachelor’s degrees on Saturday - May 18, 2024. You have worked very hard to achieve this outstanding academic milestone.
Throughout your matriculation in the SCMNS, you have demonstrated a high level of commitment, dedication, persistence, creativity, and excellent academic performance, that have significantly contributed to your success. I am indeed extremely proud of each one of you.
As you embark upon and progress through your careers, I urge you to always remember where you came from. Please continue to serve our communities with compassion, honesty, and integrity. Use the toolbox that you’ve earned at SCMNS, continue to learn and achieve, and take advantage of any opportunities that come along your way.
You have been exceptional representatives of SCMNS. I am convinced that you will continue to serve as worthy ambassadors for the College and MSU by fostering your quest for excellence throughout your future educational and professional careers. Continue to be mindful and always follow high professional and ethical standards.
I strongly encourage you to join the MSU Alumni Association, and to make every effort to support our academic programs and scholarships. Please know that SCMNS will remain your “home” and you are always welcome. I am fully confident that you will be successful in all that you do.
As we celebrate your outstanding achievements, I would like to say thank you to your parents, spouses, children and friends for their encouragements, sacrifices, and support. Special thanks are also extended to our world-class faculty and highly dedicated staff for their excellent contributions toward your academic and professional success.
