Biography:
Dr. Lewis S. Waller is the Chairman and Professor at Morgan State University in the department of Construction Management. Dr. Waller has over 39 years of experience in teaching and working in the construction industry. In 1994, he started his career as a Graduate teaching assistant at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University where he later became an Assistant Professor until May 2017. Lewis’s industrial experience has primarily been in the areas of construction estimating and project management. He also worked in various capacities on several residential and commercial construction projects as well. As an educator, Dr. Waller is actively engaged in several curriculum development and assessment processes. In particular, the accreditation process associated with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), Maryland Higher Education Commission, and the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE) all has been very potent in enriching Dr. Waller's teaching and course management strategies, as well as enhancing his ability to implement effective student learning outcomes. Additionally, Dr. Waller has also served as the President of the Construction division ATMAE and accredited numerous programs for ACCE.
