Department of Psychology

Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology

Students who successfully complete the psychology program at Morgan State will receive a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree. Because psychology at Morgan emphasizes the "science" in psychology, students are required to take MATH113, Scientific Methods, Statistics I & II, and Experimental Psychology. The B.S. degree will prepare students for graduate studies in psychology or a similar field. With the B.S. degree students are also equipped to go directly into the workforce after graduation.

The suggested curriculum sequence is designed to make sure that students successfully matriculate through the psychology program in a timely fashion. Students are strongly encouraged to follow the suggested curriculum sequence because there are several courses that are only offered once during the academic year (i.e., Fall or Spring semester). Several courses require pre-requisites which may be offered once during the academic year. Failure to take the pre-requisite(s) may prolong your tenure and you may have to wait until the following academic year to take the course.

The following curriculum sequences can be used by Psychology majors who entered MSU during the 2015-2016 academic year or later.
