Dr. Stacey Stanley

Dr. Stanley is a former student in the Department of Psychology at Morgan State University and now serves as an Adjunct Professor. Dr. Stanley earned her doctorate in General Psychology from Capella University where she was later highlighted as an alumna who assists youth with developing social skills and building self-confidence. She earned her Master’s in Child and Adolescent Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology where she was recognized in the university’s Community Matters newsletter for her efforts in inspiring positive change throughout Baltimore.

Her research focuses on understanding the role social media has on how adult women perceive their body image from diverse ethnical backgrounds. Dr. Stanley’s latest publication can be viewed on ProQuest.

Dr. Stanley is an active member of The National Society of Leadership and Success and the American Psychological Association (APA). She serves under two APA divisions; Division 1, The Society for General Psychology as newsletter co-editor, and Division 35, Society for the Psychology of Women.

Dr. Stanley serves as an academic advisor to sophomore Psychology majors.
