Kristen Jones
Kristen Jones is a graduate student on the Blue Core team. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Morgan State University in 2021. In August 2022, she became a Bioenvironmental Sciences Ph.D. student at Morgan State University’s graduate division. Kristen became a Bioenvironmental Sciences Ph.D. student at MSU’s PEARL laboratory studying environmental economics and ecology. Research interests include socioeconomic impacts of environmental spaces, environmental justice, climate adaptation strategies, blue-green infrastructure, and reduction of water contamination. She believes nature's benefits are vital and should be accessible to everyone. Her hobbies include sculpting, painting, hiking, gardening, and content creation. In addition, she volunteers her time as a math tutor and on environmental justice initiatives, focusing on historical research and data analysis.
