Rolicia F. Martin, MPH is the Assistant Director for Advising Training & Technology in the Office of Student Success and Retention and a Doctor of Public Health student at Morgan State University, where she is the lead architect for crafting the standard of care for advising students. She previously served as the Senior Retention Coordinator for the School of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences. From 2015 to 2023, she coordinated the SCMNS' first-year experience, serving as a first-year advisor and Freshman Orientation instructor. She also serves in an advisory role for the school's Peer BEARS freshman mentoring program and coordinates tutoring for introductory science and math courses. Her research interest focuses on the disclosure of intimate partner violence and sexual violence (IPV/SV) among Black female survivors as a catalyst for healing. Ms. Martin has presented at 20 conferences in areas including neuroscience, higher education, and IPV and has three publications.
