Graduation Support

Our focus:

Through campus collaboration and targeting programming, the graduation cohort team strives to implement and execute a variety of retention interventions towards increasing Morgan State University overall graduation rate to 60% by 2030.

Undergraduate Morganites are assigned to a graduation cohort based on their year of enrollment. For example, students who matriculated during the fall 2024 semester are assigned to the 2024 graduation cohort slated to graduate by/before spring 2030.

Graduation Coaching

Curious about your path to graduation? Thinking about changing your major? Our graduation cohort team is available to meet with you to discuss time to degree and other items to consider as you progress to graduation.

Enrollment Initiatives

Reclamation Grants -In collaboration with the office to financial aid, the graduation team reviews cohort students request for financial assistance to complete their degree.

Re-UP!- Re-Up is a campaign for engaging learners who have stopped out return to Morgan to complete their degree.

Withdrawing from Morgan State- We understand that things happen and you may need to consider withdrawing from Morgan State. Students who wish to withdraw will complete this form and meet with their graduation coach to discuss options and next steps. Morganites are
encouraged to meet with a graduation cohort coach for referrals and assistance prior to withdrawing from the institution. Learn more about the withdrawal process here

Graduation Cohort Luncheon with the President

During the spring semester the graduation cohort team coordinates a luncheon for Morganites apart of the graduating cohort to dine with the President in preparation for graduation.

Graduation Nudges & Reminders

Morganites can expect outreach from graduation coaches periodically throughout the year whether pertaining to registering for classes, pop-up graduation coaching session, or reminders to apply for graduation.
