Karen DeWitt has the multifaceted perspective of a staff writer, foreign correspondent, and columnist for major national publications as well as an award-winning senior producer for ABC’s Nightline. She has served as the communications director for a political campaign,  a major, national  civil rights organization; for the advocacy organization, The Sentencing Project; and as the DC Water & Sewer Authority communication director during the 2004 lead crisis at the world’s largest advanced wastewater treatment facility.  Currently, she is the Director of the Digital Newsroom and a lecturer in multiplatform writing at  Morgan State University’s School of Global Journalism and Communications
