Karl Kluegel earned his Ph.D. in Economics and Social Sciences (summa cum laude), University of Augsburg, Germany; MBA Michigan State University; BS Finance and Real Estate (magna cum laude), San Francisco State University.

He was Professor of Business and Economics at Zurich University of Applied Sciences, Switzerland. He also taught at Technical University Darmstadt, Germany; Vienna University of Technology, Austria; University of St. Gallen, Switzerland; University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), Beijing, China, where he is adjunct professor.

He served as the Founding Vice Director of the Sino-German College of Graduate Studies (CDHK) at Tongji University Shanghai, China; as Director of the Sino-German Forum in Shanghai; as the Head of Department Economics, Finance, Marketing, and Quantitative Methods, and the RMIT Research Office at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, Vietnam.

Among all the consulting projects, his clients included the Shanghai City Government, China; the Swiss Post and the Swiss Confederation’s Innovation Promotion Agency, Switzerland; PricewaterhouseCoopers, China; the Central Bank of China; a major Chinese oil and natural gas corporation; a leading American computer manufacturer and an American internet service provider in China; the Lansing Chamber of Commerce, Lansing, Michigan, USA.
