College of Liberal Arts
Welcome From the Dean's Office
Welcome to the James H. Gilliam, Jr. College of Liberal Arts at Morgan State University!
We are a vibrant college committed to supporting your educational and personal growth. Our productive faculty and dedicated educators are committed to providing opportunities for our diverse student population. Our faculty are known for their quality of teaching and research. For instance, our students have opportunities to actively engage with faculty on research projects and present their own research at local and national conferences, and engage in local internships. These opportunities will not only support intellectual growth and development but also foster collaborative, sustainable partnerships with the local community in an effort to make our students more competitive for graduate school and career development.
We expect that your educational experience will be enriched by the residential campus environment which provides numerous opportunities for you to interact with your peers and faculty beyond the classroom. These opportunities can build networking and leadership skills, foster enduring friendships, and an awareness of arts and culture in the Baltimore area.
We are excited that you are interested in one of the most dynamic colleges at Morgan State University, the College of Liberal Arts, and we want to ensure that you are successful during your time here. During your time on campus, you will meet many new faculty and staff. We are available to support your academic enrichment and serve as a resource to help you accomplish your goals. Please do not hesitate to contact your Department, or the Office of the Dean, with any questions or concerns. We are committed to preparing an empowered high-quality, diverse group of graduating students to grow the future and lead the world! We are all here to support you!
