Recruitment Options
Career Fairs & Networking Events (On-Campus)
The CCD typically hosts three major events each year to bring students and employer partners face-to-face to explore opportunities for career employment as well as internships. To learn more about our upcoming fairs, please click HERE or visit Handshake to register.
Information Table
Setting up information tables is an effective method for companies and organizations to promote their brand to our students. These can be arranged to be set up in the University Student Center, which is a central location on campus. While there is no charge to reserve a table, this service is exclusively available to employers who have active Handshake accounts. To provide equal recruitment opportunities to multiple organizations, visits are limited to one per organization per semester.
Job Postings
The Center for Career Development can assist you in recruiting and engaging students using our career management system called Handshake. All job and internship opportunities are posted on Handshake for students and alumni to view. Handshake enables you to review resumes of students/alumni matching your employment criteria. Because Handshake is accessed often, it is the most effective way for you to reach the maximum number of interested and qualified candidates.
On-Campus Interviews
On-campus interviews (OCI) provide employer partners with the opportunity to interview for internships, co-op, and full-time employment for graduating students. Interviews at the CCD are generally held between 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Open schedules provide the opportunity for any student that meets your established criteria to select interview time slots on a first-come, first-served basis. Recruiters can interview up to 13 applicants per schedule during peak recruiting periods, mid-September through December and February through April. We can accommodate up to 6 recruiters on a given day and offer 30, 45, or 60-minute interview schedules.
- Please schedule your campus visit at least one month in advance to allow us adequate time to publicize your event to the campus community.
- To assist with the promotion of your career opportunity, you are encouraged to create a 2-3 minute promotional video that can be shared with students and faculty.
- You will receive confirmation of your on-campus interview dates.
- Please submit your request through Handshake.
Recruitment Videos
In lieu of Information Sessions, employer partners are encouraged to submit a 2-3 minute promotional video to promote their organization and their available career opportunities. Click HERE to view an example (created with an iPhone). It is recommended that your video includes the following:
- Information about career opportunities. Be specific, mention desired discipline(s) and skills you are seeking.
- Behind the scenes footage of organization
- Insiders perspective of company perks, benefits & growth potential
- Considering featuring MSU Alumni in video
Your video will be shared with students & faculty in the targeted discipline and/or posted on various social media platforms.
If interested, you may submit your video (mp4 format or YouTube links accepted), along with a description (up to 5000 characters) to seana.coulter@morgan.edu.
