Biography:
Over the years, Dr. Felix Afolabi has taught various Courses at the Earl Graves School of Business and Management. Among the courses taught are Principles of Accounting I & II, Intermediate Accounting I & II, Cost Accounting, Hospitality Management Accounting, Managerial Finance, Personal Finance, Financial Literacy, Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, Fundamental of Risk Management, Labor Management Relations, and Introduction to Business for Non-Business Major.
Dr. Afolabi was a member of the committee that designed the Hospitality Management Accounting Course for accreditation purposes. This course was taught by Dr. Afolabi for several years, until 2001.
Dr. Afolabi participated in designing the Financial Literacy course (FIN 101). He also participated in the Quality Matters Online Course Design Training for Business, Ethics, and Society Course at Morgan to provide effective instructional tools to students.
He has been part of the Open Learning Initiative (OLI) Training: Evidence-Based Management Certification at Morgan State University.
The Lumen Circles Grant, (University of Maryland, College Park) initiative was a training he was a part of. This is a Lime Circles Fellowship in Teaching with OER and Open Pedagogy. It is a program to explore and apply Evidence-Based Teaching Practices to support student success.
Dr. Afolabi possesses a Maryland Life and Health License, as well as a Maryland Property and Casualty License.
