The "Addressing Urban Health Disparities Through Participatory Health Research" conference was an international forum for professionals and community activists from diverse backgrounds, including academicians, students, practitioners, community stakeholders, policy advocates, and others interested in addressing urban health disparities through participatory methods.
Bringing together community-based participatory research (CBPR) scientists and community members from the U.S. and around the world, the conference provided an opportunity for participants to engage in the International Collaboration for Participatory Health Research (ICPHR) global network.
The conference provided a venue for:

sharing methods, theories, and experiences
- exchanging ideas and innovations
- enhancing the capacity for participatory health research
The two-day conference included a variety of activities, such as:
- Continuing education workshops
- Plenary and keynote presentations
- Panel Discussions
- Poster Presentations
- Interactive tours of community-based organizations

Attend the ICPHR Annual Working Meeting | June 23-25, 2019
This conference is being run in tandem with the ICPHR Annual Working Meeting. The goal of ICPHR is to establish participatory health research as an integrated part of local, regional, and national strategies to meet the needs of disadvantaged communities by addressing issues of health inequality. The ICPHR Annual Working Meeting is most relevant to individuals who are interested in and committed to advancing the science and practice of participatory health research.
