ASCEND Center for Biomedical Research
Faculty Development Opportunities
The ASCEND Center for Biomedical Research has several opportunities for which MSU faculty can apply. For all of these opportunities, the work needs to be relevant to health research.
The Canvas course for ASCEND, including an informational hub and ongoing announcements for development opportunities, is available here. Please email jacob.curtis@morgan.edu if you need access to the ASCEND Canvas course
Acknowledging the Cores in Publications
Please acknowledge the support of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in publications that result from the use of these facilities. Note that acknowledging grants and fellowships is required by many funding agencies and research institutions. Example: The authors acknowledge the use of core facilities supported by the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities through grant number 5U54MD013376 and National Institute of General Medical Sciences through grant number 5UL1GM118973.

Budgeting for Continued Use of the Core Facilities
To help us maintain the multi-user equipment, please budget for core usage fees in grant applications. The Core managers are available to assist with budget estimates for the different pieces of equipment and technologies. The "Equipment and Other Resources Page" for grant applications is available upon request.
Please also note that Core personnel are available to assist with proposal development including answering questions on the capabilities of technologies and experimental design.
