Reiko Nonogaki was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan as she finished primary, secondary, and college in Japan. After her college education, she worked in a Japanese company for 2 years until she moved to the United States. She attended Towson University to receive another degree in Educational Psychology. After a few years in Towson, she moved to California to complete her master’s degree in Education at the University of La Verne. Her love for education expanded as she traveled back to Baltimore. In 2011 she started teaching Japanese at Morgan State University. She continues to teach at Morgan State because of the extremely friendly community, the favorable connection with her students, and her will to share the magnificent language and culture of Japan.
