Shamia Boone is the Program Administrative Specialist in the Office of Technology Transfer within the Division of Research and Economic Development. In this position, Shamia works with the Director of Technology Transfer, the technology transfer team, and Ad-Hoc teams across campus. She uses her skills to design projection models that will be instrumental for future doctoral conferral rates. Shamia also collects data for Science and Technology Capability and Skills at Morgan State University.
Prior to joining Morgan, Shamia spent ten years as a Clinical Laboratory Technician Assistant III (CLTA III) at the University of Maryland Laboratories of Pathology. She worked in specialty labs like the R. Adams Shock Trauma Center and The Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center. As a CLTA III she was responsible for laboratory competence and data analysis for lab-unit turnaround efficiency.
Shamia earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Morgan State University and her Associate of Arts in General studies with a concentration in Biotechnology from Baltimore City Community College. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Psychometrics here at Morgan State.
