SWAN Student Work

Our students don't just learn the tools they will need to thrive in a 21st century film industry, they are creating work - both their own and in support of real clients - every day. Whether it's short films, public service announcements, animations, or advertisements, our students are building and sharing creative work now.

Urban Curves — Workshop film

This film about a women's motorcycle club in Baltimore, Maryland was filmed and edited during a workshop hosted by the Baltimore Youth Film Arts Program (BYFA) under the direction of faculty from Morgan State University's Screenwriting and Animation (SWAN) program.

Frederick Douglass Now!

A brief montage of Roger Guenveur Smith's April 2019 visit to Morgan State University. Smith visited classes, performed his one-man show Frederick Douglass Now!, and marched with students across campus to MSU's historic Douglass statue.
