Biography:
As the Director of Undergraduate Student Services for the School of Business and Management, Dr. Farrar is dedicated to ensuring the academic success of undergraduate students throughout their educational journey, from enrollment and transfers to graduation. Her multifaceted role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities focused on fostering both personal and academic growth. Dr. Farrar actively promotes student engagement by encouraging participation in extracurricular activities, internships, and diverse experiences that contribute to a well-rounded education. Her commitment to guiding students is evident in her role as an advisor for incoming students, where she provides valuable assistance in navigating course requirements, evaluating transfer credits, selecting or changing majors, and strategically planning academic pathways.
In addition to academic advisement, Dr. Farrar places a strong emphasis on personal and career development, providing crucial support to students as they navigate the intricacies of their educational and professional pursuits. Recognizing the importance of data-driven decision-making, she employs a meticulous approach, analyzing academic performance data, student feedback, and relevant metrics to continuously assess and enhance existing programs. A servant leader, Dr. Farrar works closely with faculty, staff, and other academic departments across the campus to ensure a coordinated approach to student success. This collaborative effort extends to addressing academic challenges, coordinating support services, and cultivating a positive learning environment conducive to achievement. Beyond the campus borders, Dr. Farrar extends her commitment to community outreach initiatives. Adult/nontraditional learning, transfer student persistence and retention, transfer policies and procedures, minority undergraduate student persistence, retention, and completion, interdisciplinary studies
