HBCU Architecture Programs
HBCUs play a vital role in architectural education, despite representing only 5% of NAAB-accredited schools. Impressively, they educate 32% of all Black students enrolled in accredited and pre-professional architecture programs1. These institutions are making a significant difference in the field, nurturing the next generation of architects and design leaders.
We proudly recognize the following seven HBCU architecture programs with NAAB accreditation:
- Howard University
- Tuskegee University
- Prairie View A&M University
- Florida A&M University
- Hampton University
- University of the District of Columbia
- Morgan State University
