How To Receive Your Housing Check-In Notification
Get Cleared For Housing!
We are excited to welcome you to campus and look forward to our important partnership in supporting your journey at Morgan State University. We are committed to ensuring that your academic year starts off successfully, and a smooth start begins with ensuring you have met all University and Housing requirements before check-in. Notification of your check-in day and time will only be sent to those students who have met ALL university and housing requirements.
We are committed to your holistic success. In support, we encourage you to carefully review and follow the provided guidance and deadlines from the university. To ensure that you do not miss any important information, please check your Morgan student email regularly (preferably daily) for all updates and official correspondence. In this endeavor, the following Offices are here to serve you:

- The Division of Enrollment Management & Student Success
- Bear Essentials One-Stop Student Services Center
- The Office of Financial Aid
- The Office of the Bursar
Financial Clearance Process and Guidance
- Must be registered as a full-time student (12 credits or more) for the fall 2025 semester
- Must be financially cleared or have made satisfactory financial arrangements to include the cost of tuition, fees, housing, and meal plan with the Office of the Bursar
- Recommended steps to become financially cleared
- Complete 2025-2026 FAFSA (If eligible)
- Submit Outside Scholarship Award Letters to finaid@morgan.edu
- Apply for a Parent Plus Loan (Available May 2025)
- Apply for Alternative Loans (Now available)
- Setup a Payment Plan (Available July 2025)
- Apply for Institutional Aid (Available June 2025)
- Complete Tuition Waivers
- Submit Third Party Agreements to thirdparty@morgan.edu
- Submit Military/VA benefit information
- Complete Student Health Insurance Waiver (Available July 1, 2025)
- Pay bill online, in person, or via mail
- Recommended steps to become financially cleared
As we partner to provide a smooth start to the 2025-2026 academic year, please make sure to complete all necessary steps for financial clearance by June 2025. For all students who are financially cleared, your check-in day and time will be provided via your Morgan email account beginning in July 2025. For students who have not met the financial clearance requirements (by August 1, 2025), you will lose your selected housing assignment as a result of the high demand for university housing and will be placed on the waitlist. Please be advised that placement on the waitlist does not guarantee a housing assignment. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact any of our offices for guidance.
