Research Projects
There are three research projects associated with RCMI@Morgan.

The overarching goal of this study is to apply Community-Based Participatory Research to reduce tobacco use among low-income communities in Baltimore through community-based smoking cessation interventions.

The contributors to the observed health disparities in cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) in Baltimore City are multifactorial and include socioeconomic status (SES), psychosocial stress, genetics and ancestry, and access to health care and nutrition, but how these factors influence the biological onset of these disparate conditions remains to be solved.

HIV and hepatitis C virus (HCV) are two important chronic viral pathogens that cause serious global morbidity and mortality and disproportionately affect people of racial, gender, and socioeconomic minorities.
