Background:

Mr. Bhandari has a Masters Degree in Zoology from the Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal, and is currently doing his PhD at Morgan State University, Maryland, USA. His PhD research is about how to improve the survival and growth of eastern oysters (Crassostrea virginica) in low salinity water in Maryland, USA, by using genetic breeding techniques. Besides conservation genetics, he also works in wildlife conservation and ecological modeling of terrestrial mammal and bird species.
