Specific Research Interests:

  • Ecosystem modelling: Applying ecosystem model to understand the ecological and economic impacts of oyster reef restoration and seagrass habitat change on commercial fisheries (with a current focus on the Pianakank River in the Virginia Middle Peninsula).
  • Biodiversity and ecosystem services: how changes in biodiversity influence the supply of ecosystem services
  • Conservation of Protected Areas, and effects of habitat fragmentation on biological diversity
