Population in Maryland, U.S. Grows Older While Homeownership Rates Decline, New 2020 Census Data Shows
The population of Maryland and the United States is skewing older, new 2020 census data shows. Maryland’s median age of 38.8 — the same as the national median — is eight-tenths of a year higher than it was in 2010. Dr. Linda Loubert, an economics professor at Morgan State University, provides some insight into what the new data means.
