Morgan Alumnus Rises to Commanding General of Army Regional Health Command-Atlantic
Morgan State University alumnus Brigadier General R. Scott Dingle has been named commanding general of the Regional Health Command-Atlantic, the nation’s premier military system for health. Gen. Dingle graduated from Morgan in 1988 through the ROTC program with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology. He previously served as the director of healthcare operations at the Office of the Surgeon General and commander of the 30th Medical Brigade in Germany. He is the 16th General to have graduated from the University.

Highly decorated and accomplished, Gen. Dingle has a history of military service spanning 30 years. He has received a number of prestigious awards including the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Humanitarian Service Medal, and the Order of Military Medical Merit.
