Know Before You Go
Morgan State Clear Bag Guidelines
Dear Bears Family and Fans,
Thank you for your patience as we continue to improve upon our procedures for entering Morgan State University’s athletic venues and attending games. Under the new guidelines that have been implemented, entry into the venues will be expedited and safety will be enhanced, creating a better overall experience for our Bears Family and guest visitors.
As part of these new procedures, we have adopted the use of clear bags when entering our athletic facilities. The use of clear bags to transport attendee belongings is a widely embraced safety precaution that has been implemented at professional and amateur sports stadiums across the country, including here in Maryland at Oriole Park and M&T Bank Stadium. These precautions are also used at other Division I sports venues throughout Maryland.
Beginning September 23, 2023, for Morgan’s home football game versus the University of Albany, these procedures will be in effect, so we encourage you to use clear bags. It is our expectation that the University’s new clear bag guidelines will be in full swing and enforced by our Homecoming scheduled for October 7, 2023, and all subsequent sporting events thereafter at Hughes Memorial Stadium and Hill Field House.
We look forward to hosting all Morganites and fans as we cheer on our Bears to victory this weekend! “Fight on ‘ole Morgan Grizzly!”
Respectfully,
Dena Freeman-Patton
