Dr. Julius Jow is a Professor of Practice in the Mechatronics Engineering Program within the Department of Multidisciplinary Engineering Studies at Morgan State University's School of Engineering. With a robust academic and industry background, including experience at Facebook/Meta, Dr. Jow holds a Bachelor’s in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University in Nairobi, Kenya; dual MS degrees in Industrial Technology (Control Engineering) and Computer Science (Software Engineering) from Alabama A&M University; and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Alabama, specializing in Smart Grid Security.
His research interests span Mechatronics and Robotics (focusing on nuclear radiation detection and machine learning), Cybersecurity for Cyber-Physical Systems, Digital Twin technology, IT (software testing and IoT), and engineering solutions in STEM education.
