Dr. Thomas Ngniatedema is an Associate Professor in the Department of Information Science and Systems at Morgan State University. He holds Ph.D. in Information Systems from Kent State University, M.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Clemson University, M.S. in Mathematical Statistics from New Mexico State University, and B.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Yaoundé (Cameroon). Prior to joining Morgan State University, Dr. Ngniatedema has taught at Kettering University as an Assistant Professor and at the University of Akron as a Visiting Faculty. He is a member of the Association for Information Systems, Decision Science Institute, and Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences.
Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Cloud Computing, Big Data Analytics.
Research InterestsDr. Ngniatedema's research interests include:
- Late customization strategies, where some profitable trade-offs between the production costs and the customer service requirements are analyzed.
- Incentive design and analytics, supply and service contracting, where the optimal set of actions are determined for supply chain channels coordination.
- Sustainability, where a profitable correlation is established between the firms' environmental initiatives and the financial performance.
- Machine Learning, where knowledge is extracted from diverse business databases to build decision-making systems.
While he employs mathematical modeling, his work is not locked into one methodology. He has conducted empirical research using secondary data analyses, case studies as well as conceptual studies. His papers have been published in European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Economics, International Journal of Business Performance and Supply Chain Modeling, Journal of Computer Information Systems, Business Strategy and the Environment, and the Environmental Quality Management Journal.
