Biography

Dr. Donald L. Buresh has over 30 years of professional and academic experience, focusing on project management, intellectual property, economics, information technology, and cybersecurity. He worked for over 20 years as an IT consultant in the Boston area, working on a variety of projects, including mainframes, minicomputers, and personal computer software engineering. Dr. Buresh earned his Ph.D. in the management of engineering and technology from Northcentral University. His dissertation assessed customer satisfaction for both agile-driven and plan-driven software development projects. He earned a J.D. from The John Marshall Law School concentrating on Technology and Cyberlaw and an LL.M. from the University of Illinois Chicago concentrating in intellectual property. He is currently earning an LL.M. from Albany Law School in Cybersecurity and Privacy. Dr. Buresh earned an M.P.S. from Utica College in Cybersecurity Policy Risk Analysis and an M.S. from Utica College in Cybersecurity.. He received an M.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts Lowell with a concentration in operations management, an M.A. in economics from Boston College, and a B.S. from the University of Illinois-Chicago, majoring in mathematics and philosophy. Dr. Buresh is a member of Delta Mu Delta, Phi Delta Phi, Phi Alpha Delta Society of Scholars, Sigma Iota Epsilon, Epsilon Pi Tau, and Phi Theta Kappa. Dr. Buresh is a Project Management Professional (PMP(R)), and a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt. He is also a Certified Higher Educational Professional (Excellence in Online Teaching). Dr. Buresh is an avid Chicago White Sox fan and fences épée to remain active.
