Research Interests:
High performance computing, Bioinformatics, Next-Generation Sequencing Analysis, Computational Biology, CS Education, Computational Modeling and Simulation. The main research interest involves developing stochastic models of Calcium and other ion channels in cardiac myocytes. I am also involved in educational research in increasing undergraduate retention rate in computer science as well as integration of critical thinking, active learning and project based learning into intro to CS programming courses.
