Celebrating the Achievements of Our Graduates: CICS Class of 2024

CICS is immensely joyful to congratulate the exceptional graduates of the Class of 2024.  Your dedication and hard work have paid off, and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors.  Congratulations to the Class of 2024.

Each of our graduates has demonstrated remarkable dedication and perseverance, balancing their studies with work, family, and other responsibilities. Their commitment to their education is truly commendable, and we are proud to have played a part in their success.

Undergraduate Achievements:

Our undergraduate programs at CICS are designed specifically for adult learners, offering flexible pathways for individuals to return to school and complete their degree. We celebrate the diverse accomplishments and future plans of our undergraduate graduates:

  • Kandyce Alford - Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Organizational Administration: Kandyce plans to enter the field of public health government administration, utilizing her skills to improve community health outcomes.

  • Dominique Anderson - Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Engineering, Information, & Computational Sciences: Dominique aims to transition into software or systems engineering after continuing her educational journey with a master’s program.

  • Ayanna Brown-Caesar - Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Health & Human Sciences: Ayanna intends to further her career with the Department of Defense and pursue a master’s degree to advance her professional goals.

  • Madonna Gamble - Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Societal Equity & Urbanism: Madonna will serve as a Teach for America Corps Member in Baltimore City Public Schools while pursuing a master's in education at Johns Hopkins University.

  • Maya Guy - Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Societal Equity & Urbanism: Maya will continue her term on the School Board and seek employment opportunities as a lobbyist.

  • TyKesha Hayes - Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Health & Human Services: TyKesha aims to secure a promotion within her company, leveraging her newly acquired skills for success.

  • Shuntina Hearn-Ehirim - Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Health & Human Sciences: Shuntina plans to pursue graduate studies in project management with the goal of expanding her business.

  • Demari Kline - Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Health & Human Sciences: Demari plans to explore her community and career field before applying to the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program.

  • Michelle Latimore - Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Educational Studies: Michelle intends to pursue a master’s degree in education and continue her career as a classroom teacher.

  • Shantel Little - Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Health & Human Sciences: Shantel will continue working in the medical field while pursuing opportunities for career advancement.

  • Jabari Lyles - Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Sciences: Jabari will pursue a master’s degree in public administration and continue running their consulting business.

  • Leroy Miller - Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Engineering, Information, & Computational Sciences: Leroy plans to work on developing smart homes and pursue further studies in graduate school.

  • Deanna Neal - Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Societal Equity & Urbanism: Deanna will continue hosting “Two Way Talk” on WEAA 88.9FM and expand her influence as a political commentator.

  • DaQuan Patterson - Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Educational Studies: DaQuan aims to secure a better career to support his family and pursue further education in arts or business.

  • Akilah Thomas - Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Educational Studies: Akilah will begin a new role with the New York City Department of Education and pursue graduate studies in Counseling.

Graduate Achievements:

Our graduate programs provide advanced education and training for individuals seeking to further their careers or pursue new opportunities. We are proud to celebrate the achievements and future endeavors of our graduate-level graduates:

  • Tushina Yameny - Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Health & Human Sciences: After graduation, Tushina plans to pursue a doctorate in education with a focus on improving special education teacher retention & addressing attrition rates.

  • Lewis Ely Jr.  - Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Organizational Administration: After graduation, Lewis plans to pursue his career in public safety, with a long-term goal of seeking leadership positions, potentially as the chief of an agency where his skills are most needed. 

  • Lance Hatcher - Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Organizational Administration: After graduation, Lance plans to pursue a terminal degree at Morgan State University, specifically in the Applied Sociology Ph. D. Program, with a specialized focus on Criminal Justice Reform. 

  • Carlene Jefferson-Wilson - Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Health & Human Sciences: After graduation, Carlene will celebrate her remarkable achievement, committed to a healthy lifestyle, she aims to inspire others with her 30+ years of higher education experience and as a certified life/success coach, joining the community college faculty.
