Honoring Dedication and Perseverance
Each of our graduates has demonstrated remarkable commitment, balancing academics with careers, family responsibilities, and personal challenges. Undergraduate Achievements
CICS undergraduate programs empower adult learners to complete their degrees and pursue new opportunities. We proudly celebrate the diverse accomplishments and future goals of our undergraduate graduates:
Bonita Brittingham (Summa Cum Laude) - Health and Human Sciences
Bonita plans to pursue a Master of Social Work, focusing on supporting community organizations aiding grandparents in caregiving roles. She continues her impactful career as a broker manager in employee benefits.
Debborah Burnett - Global Perspectives and Practices
Debborah has been accepted into the Baltimore City Teacher Residency Program and will begin teaching this fall. She also plans to pursue a master’s in social work as a step toward their ultimate goal of earning a J.D. in Family Law, with a commitment to advocating for and supporting families in need.
Darlene Clayton - Organizational Administration
After graduating, Darlene plans to pursue a Master’s in Distance & E-Learning from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Her goal is to work in e-learning after retiring from the Mortgage Banking Industry in 3-5 years.
Tiphany Coleman - Health and Human Sciences
After graduation, Tiphany plans to further her career in the healthcare industry, building on her experience as a medical device specialist. She’s passionate about improving patient outcomes and empowering surgical teams. With her degree, she’s eager to expand her expertise and a make greater impact in healthcare innovation.
Mercy Dennis - Health and Human Sciences
Mercy will teach for the next two years before pursuing a graduate degree in counseling at Temple University. She is confident that the values and community gained at CICS will guide her next steps.
Jennifer Garvin - Organizational Administration
After graduating, Jennifer plans to continue working in the field of marketing and to also get more involved in supporting students as an alumnus. The journey to complete her degree was personal. Her daughter inspired her to complete her degree so they could create a true Morgan moment. Ms. Garvin’s daughter graduated in May 2024.
Trashawn Harris - Societal Equity, and Urbanism
After graduating, Trashawn plans to further expand his personal training business while advancing his career in construction management.
Kinera Kuhn - Organizational Administration
After graduating, Kinera plans to continue her education by pursuing a master’s degree in human resources. Her goal is to build a successful career in administration, where she can apply her knowledge and skills to support organizational growth and employee employment.
Amon McKenstry - Health and Human Sciences
After graduating, Amon plans to further his education to pursue a career in healthcare, with aspirations of becoming either a nurse or a medical dosimetrist.
Stacie Miley - Organizational Administration
After graduating, Staci plans to continue her studies in the field of Education, focusing on becoming a School Counselor. With a passion for working with children and a deep belief in their potential as the future, she is dedicated to pursuing a career that will be both meaningful and impactful.
Natalie Phillips - Organizational Administration
Natalie is proud to continue her family’s legacy as an MSU graduate. Her father, James “Coach Phil” Phillip, was a legendary wrestling coach at Morgan. After 17 years of service in the university’s Police Department, she is finally achieving my lifelong dream of graduating from MSU.
John Rabsatt - Organizational Administration
After graduating, John plans to pursue a management position within his current public safety organization or explore opportunities for supervisory or managerial roles in public safety at the city or state level.
Ricardo Ramsey - Organizational Administration
Ricardo’s journey is a testament to resilience. Retired after a five-year career, he overcame health challenges, started a nonprofit, and completed his education with the unwavering support of CICS staff.
Alexis Rosborough - Health and Human Sciences
After graduating, Alexis plans to take time to reconnect with her hobbies, including visiting national parks and coaching soccer, while preparing to pursue a master’s program at Morgan State University. Her goal is to become a high school guidance counselor, supporting students in their academic and personal growth.
Fareed Singletary - Technology Services
Fareed plans to pursue a master’s degree in data analytics and visualization, with the goal of launching a consultancy business in incident management.
Ayanna Swann-Tolson - Organizational Administration
After graduating, Ayanna plans to continue her career with the Federal Government while also establishing small businesses to create jobs and build a better quality of life. She is deeply committed to ensuring that future generations have access to higher education and opportunities to serve their communities.
Willie Thomas - Global Perspectives and Practices
Upon graduation, Willie plans to teach English in the Czech Republic through the Full-Bright Scholarship program, fostering cultural exchange and expanding global perspectives. Long-term, Willie aspires to pursue a career in diplomacy, serving as a U.S. global ambassador to promote international understanding and strengthen connections across nations.
Tara Williams (Cum Laude) - Organizational Administration
With 20 years of experience in Human Resources, after graduating Tara plans to continue to advance within her career with a greater focus on organizational development. Her goal is also to pursue a master’s degree in leadership, Human Resource Development, and Workforce Development to further enhance her skills and broaden her impact.
