Learning Outcomes
The following are the learning outcomes expected for students participating in the Center’s programs. Students will be able to:
- Under deadline, to craft compelling, accurate and ethical sports news stories, features, advance stories, game stories and profiles that are standard for the industry
- Cover sports news in multiple formats, including through mobile devices, social media and other new technologies
- Demonstrate proficiency in information gathering techniques and beat reporting
- Demonstrate proficiency in the various techniques of presenting sports stories including, but not limited to audio/video recording and editing, print media and digital media
