WEAA 88.9

WEAA 88.9 is the NPR affiliated public radio station of Morgan State University, and a service of the university’s School of Global Journalism and Communication. We serve as a learning lab to educate and prepare our students for careers in journalism and media, while also providing our broader listener community with music and news programming that enlightens and entertains.

The Morgan State University Choir is one of the nation’s most prestigious university choral ensembles. While classical, Gospel, and contemporary popular music comprise the choir’s repertoire; the choir is noted for its emphasis on preserving the heritage of the spiritual, especially in the historic practices of performance.

As one of the best and most respected bands in Maryland, we would like to take this opportunity to acquaint you with our organization. The MSU Band program offers five different ensembles: The Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensemble, Bear Pep Band and Jazz Combo.

Carl J. Murphy Fine Arts Center

The Murphy Fine Arts Center is Baltimore's most modern venue replete with contemporary, state-of-the-art facilities for members of the performing and visual arts communities to showcase their talents. MFAC's performance spaces ably accommodate performers and productions who play to 'thousands" at a time-and-to acts who prefer the intimate settings of studio theatre or recital hall venues.

James E. Lewis Museum of Art

The James E. Lewis Museum of Art (JELMA) is the cultural extension of Morgan State University's Fine Arts academic program.
