Christopher Coleman is a native of Wildwood, NJ and a graduate of Stockton University in Galloway, NJ receiving a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Social Work. While at Stockton University (formerly The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey) Mr. Coleman became a brother of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated and a First-Generation college graduate.


Following his undergraduate experience, Mr. Coleman discovered his passion for Social Work was not limited to children and families but was primarily rooted in the progression and development of communities. Mr. Coleman dedicated himself to the Mental Health field, serving in a number of capacities in both residential and school setting, for a total of 7 years before transitioning to higher education.


In the Summer of 2018 Mr. Coleman landed on the campus of Morgan State University as a Resident Director with the Office of Residence Life & Housing. Here, he devoted three years to promoting and providing a transformative experience for our campus community. Mr. Coleman simultaneously served as a Coordinator of the Morgan M.I.L.E. (Male Initiative on Leadership and Excellence) and in 2020 earned his Master’s Degree in Sociology. Mr. Coleman is also an Adjunct Professor with the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, while pursuing his PhD. in Applied Sociology and Social Justice. Mr. Coleman is passionate about to the education and advancement of our students, and institution alike, as our individual successes contribute to our success as a Morgan global community.
